I've been reading a lot of O magazine lately (to kill off traffic time) and a lot of the topics i read mentioned the importance of time and how it flies. Fast. Flipping through the pages, so many questions left me thinking about stuff. So much stuff that I actually need to blog about it.
Ponder 1- What powers would you want to possess?
The power to stop time and bring back time (just like the guy from About Time). If I can bring back all those moments and change whatever it is needed to be changed. Maybe, things will always be different and the future will be a lot better. Maybe there will be no ifs and buts.
Ponder 2- FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out)
Guilty! Ever since I had a baby, my life turned 360 degrees. I see my friends I used to party with, go shopping with, and go out of town with and had lots of fun with, posting pictures of their latest rendezvous and I just sigh. Then I realize, i would rather miss all the fun than miss all the amazing moments with my son.
Ponder 3- Live each day as if it was your last
I will never forget the story about the girl who spent all her life trying to perfect her body and get rich but missed all her family reunions, calls from her parents and siblings, invitations of special occasions from her best friends and having relationships that lasts, until it was too late. She died in an accident. I used to be like this. My 24 hours were divided to work, hitting the gym and partying. My relationships were short-lived and family members were just options. I wanted to change how my body looks to please others. There were days that my diet was not reasonable anymore. I LOVE myself THAT much. Just me...until I got pregnant. This time, it was not only me I had to look after. I also needed my family. My relationship was forever. Now, I will give up everything for my family. I don't care how I look anymore, as long as I am comfortable, healthy and loved.
Ponder 4- Time management
There was this quiz I had to answer to determine how busy I was. Guess what, I'm a busy bee. So how do I spend my 24 hours? Let me count the ways:
4 hours of mommy and wifey duties and chores
5 hours commuting to and from work
9 hours of work
6 hours of sleep (which I hardly have nowadays)
Biggest lesson learned: Don’t take it a day at a time, take it a second at a time because every second of breath is a blessing of life. So use it well.
