TIME IS GOLD

I've been reading a lot of O magazine lately (to kill off traffic time) and a lot of the topics i read mentioned the importance of time and how it flies. Fast. Flipping through the pages, so many questions left me thinking about stuff. So much stuff that I actually need to blog about it.

Ponder 1- What powers would you want to possess?

The power to stop time and bring back time (just like the guy from About Time). If I can bring back all those moments and change whatever it is needed to be changed. Maybe, things will always be different and the future will be a lot better. Maybe there will be no ifs and buts.

Ponder 2- FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out)

Guilty! Ever since I had a baby, my life turned 360 degrees. I see my friends I used to party with, go shopping with, and go out of town with and had lots of fun with, posting pictures of their latest rendezvous and I just sigh. Then I realize, i would rather miss all the fun than miss all the amazing moments with my son.

Ponder 3- Live each day as if it was your last

I will never forget the story about the girl who spent all her life trying to perfect her body and get rich but missed all her family reunions, calls from her parents and siblings, invitations of special occasions from her best friends and having relationships that lasts, until it was too late. She died in an accident. I used to be like this. My 24 hours were divided to work, hitting the gym and partying. My relationships were short-lived and family members were just options. I wanted to change how my body looks to please others. There were days that my diet was not reasonable anymore. I LOVE myself THAT much. Just me...until I got pregnant. This time, it was not only me I had to look after. I also needed my family. My relationship was forever. Now, I will give up everything for my family. I don't care how I look anymore, as long as I am comfortable, healthy and loved.

Ponder 4- Time management

There was this quiz I had to answer to determine how busy I was. Guess what, I'm a busy bee. So how do I spend my 24 hours? Let me count the ways:

4 hours of mommy and wifey duties and chores

5 hours commuting to and from work

9 hours of work

6 hours of sleep (which I hardly have nowadays)

Biggest lesson learned: Don’t take it a day at a time, take it a second at a time because every second of breath is a blessing of life. So use it well.

My To Do List for 2014

They call it resolution... I'll call it a check list of things to do. This 2014, I will try my best to accomplish everything before the year ends... wish me luck! #hashtag

1. #balikalindogprogram (shed the post-baby weight and eat right)

Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it. -Lou Holtz

2. #YOLO (YES to good vibes, NO to stress)

I believe in Karma. If the good is sown, the good is collected. When positive things are made, that returns well.- Yannick Noah

3. #travelmore (time to make memories with my son)

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” – Saint Augustine

4. #worldpeace (this year, i will prefer to lessen conflicts with anyone...just don't push me to far.)

Good character is not formed in a week or a month. It is created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good character.-Heraclitus

5. #saveup (time to get my financial status at secure level)

” It’s not important on how much you earn but on how much you save.”

6. #familyfirst (more time for family. attend all special occassions. take note of all their birthdays and never forget to greet them)

Having a place to go - is a home. Having someone to love - is a family. Having both - is a blessing. - Donna Hedges

7. #yestoproductivity (i intend to do my job the best way that I can. dapat yon KRA ko perfect na sa October!)

The biggest mistake that you can make is to believe that you are working for somebody else…The driving force of a career must come from the individual. Remember: Jobs are owned by the company, you own your career! – Earl Nightingale, Motivational Speaker

8. #love (i promised Uno that this year will be different. Lets see what happens before the year ends)

Find someone who can change your life, and not just your relationship status

9. #volunteer (i want to go back to volunteering. ill make time to volunteer.)

"Do every act of your life as if it were your last." -- Marcus Aurelius

10. #me (be kinder to myself.)

Giving yourself the ability to be alone allows you to have a greater appreciation for the time you spend with others. If you never have time for yourself, you’ll wish you did. It is important to find some balance in this, but once you do, you’ll enjoy your relationships even more.
